BoaCan - Bradford on Avon Community Area Network
BoaCan is a constitutional partnership, one of several across Wiltshire, originally funded by Wiltshire Council and others to support community participation in local authority decision-making.
BoaCan has evolved to become a project-based platform for community issues, typically involving multiple partners. A working group is formed to undertake a project and disbands upon completion.
Our Steering Group is small, comprising a Chair, Secretary and Treasurer, with no fewer than four other members, including a Town and Unitary Councillor. We meet as needed, but no fewer than 4 times a year, including an A.G.M.
Membership and participation is open to all, and is usually focused on specific projects.
BoaCan maintains a full roster of Equality and Diversity policies and these are available on request.
